Isn't the end of the week supposed to be GOOD?!?!?!

Blech.  This week ended with a bang.  Or rather a lack thereof......when trying to fire up my Suburban with my remote start this afternoon.  I get in the 'burb....turns over!  Yay!  I turn it off and go in to get C.  We're all bundled up and in the car...now it won't start.  Check engine light is on.  Fark.  So I do what anyone would do...well not really, I do what I would do.  I call to get a tow (my AAA expired...crapballs) to the local Chevy dealership and wait for them to call and tell me what's wrong with my baby.

So, what was it?  The battery.  Crap.  Now, if I would have even suspected battery (with the check engine light coming on, the lights, radio and everything else electrical working and the lack of the classic clicking that usually comes along with a dead battery), I would have just went across the street to my neighbors house and asked for a jump, see the used car lot...I mean all the cars in the driveway????

So now....instead of going to the autoparts store and buying a normal, logically priced battery I get to pay for what must be the world's most superhighspeedultraawesome battery and the outrageously priced labor that comes with anything dealership related.  A 6.0L engine must need a lot of juice right??  That's how I'm justifying my huge gaff and impatience.  So, what this means is I have to be the responsible adult and not get my new personalized cutesy otterbox phone case, plus some other stuff I wanted this month.

Boo.

Sometimes being an adult sucks.  Double Boo.

And if it wasn't bad enough......last night my last/only needle for my sewing machine broke.  So now I can't finish my boy's lap pads today because....you guessed it, I was going to go get another one this afternoon.  But I can't, because I have no vehicle!

Ignore my massive man hand and focus
on the broken needle.

Oh and this cold?  Blech.  And both boys woke up with a cough.  Maybe it's all the kisses I've been getting lately...which I'll take the sickness for, but I don't want them to be sick!  My po babies!

So since all my plans were shot for today, which included grocery shopping and a trip to Hobby Lobby; C and I decided (rather I decided and C agreed) to curl up on the couch and watch the newish (9/2012--that's new for us) Thomas and Friends movie.

That's me and C on the couch....he ate half my popcorn!
Little popcorn hog!

It was good to slow down and just relax with lil bit this afternoon.  I think Supermama needed a break too.

Ch-Ch-Ch-Changes

Well, it's Wednesday...our "light" therapy day....only 2 therapists in the house this morning and no school for SE so I decided to start a new blog.  I will still be posting about Fit For the Fight....not giving up on it at all, but wanted to take a little bit of a different route and talk about different stuff sometimes.  Didn't want to be too one dimensional ya know?!?!

What else is changing??  The weather.  Ick.  I ran 5 miles outside on Monday wearing a t-shirt and crop leggings, pushing C in the double stroller into a headwind of what felt like 50 knots!  People kept asking where the other kid was, like you've never seen a person push just one kid in a double stroller.  After 6 people asked and I had to not only stop running (annoying), but take my earbuds out to actually hear what they were asking me.....I buckled C's alligator into SE's side.  Viola...no more questions.  Amazing.  Today, Wednesday....snow on the ground, high of 30 degrees, and of course my body is acting like it's the end of the world and I have a cold.  How is it your nose can be runny and congested at the same time?!?!  And how can I as a licensed registered nurse not understand how to NOT get sick because of drastic weather changes?!?!  All I have to say about this situation is:

I definitely ain't got time to be sick!  A 2 year old and a 3 year old require constant attention..wait, they DEMAND constant attention.  You know those kids on the autism spectrum that play by themselves?  Yeah, I don't have those kind.  LOL.  Now don't go getting your panties in a twist, that was a JOKE.  I JOKE a lot about it.  It sometimes makes it easier to deal with and well.....it's funny.  And that's my personality.

This morning I worked out at 530am with my workout boyfriend Tony Horton.

Did the P90X Back and Biceps DVD.  Lifted heavy as I could for 8-10 reps and did max reps on pullups with the green resistance band for assistance yes, one day I'll move to a lighter band and then I'll move on to being able to *gasp* do an unassisted pullup.  If you know me, I have giraffe long arms and legs, so heaving this much body up against gravity with my skinny little arms is a big task.  But when my hubs came down to say adios before he left for work he told me that Feinstein was going to come get me for having these "guns".  I've started Operation: Tank Top Arms.  So by summer I'll have the kind of arms that will look awesome while wearing a tank top.  And with my half marathon training...yeah that's right..this girl is running a half in April, I should be down to 145.  I hope.  It's that dang FOOD!  I love all the wrong stuff!!  Ah well, small changes turn into big changes and I have to say that my eating now compared to 1 1/2 years ago is SO much better.  So I'm on my way, it's just taking a minute, or two.

Well, I must manage my minions.  One is requesting choconilk.  The exact phrase is: "Iant (while tapping chest with open hand) choconilk".  So for lay people that's "I want chocolate milk".  Hey, I'm happy....a year ago SE only had 5 words.  Now a month and a half away from his 4th birthday he's making small sentences!!!  That's awesome for us!  But our work is never done and I'm never satisfied because I know the sky is the limit for my boys!

Till later!!!
